Hyperlink's HGLN-CAT6 Lightning Protector is compatible with 10, 100 and 1000 Base -T and Gigabit Ethernet networks. This unit individually protects the 8 wires in standard "CAT5/CAT6" cable. High-speed devices clamp any voltage, positive or negative on the wires. The design uses transmission line layout techniques to maintain a balanced 100 ohm impedance in the signal path of the four pairs for minimal insertion loss and superior high frequency response.

EMI Noise Suppression

The HGLN-CAT6 features shielded RJ45 jacks. This along with the HGLN-CAT6's metal housing helps reduce the effects of EMI interference. Additional features include a ground lug and terminal is provided directly on the lightning protector housing providing superior grounding. For maximum protection from lightning on long cable runs, two HGLN-CAT6 can be used, one at each end of the cable.

The cast aluminum housing includes integral mounting feet for ease of installation.
